The work here shows what I produced in the employ of Wells Cathedral Stonemasons. This Cathedral was set up as a private Business and alongside work for the cathedral also did many private commissions. Much of the work you see here was for the Central Tower of the Cathedral.
I learn many of my more commercial stone carving techniques in this employ and was specifically a banker mason. As my time progressed I worked many hours on cutting block on the Primary saws and became Deputy Yard Forman in charge of the upkeep of the yard and cutting on the primary saw.
Somewhere in the wilds of somerset I produced a brand new stone spire and still aspire to find the church it was placed upon. We also spent many months working on interiors for two bars in Hong Kong which I would love to visit one day. If anyone in the USA wants a new facade or building produced by Wells Cathedral Stonemasons just let me know and I will introduce you to them.
